Privacy Policy
This page explains what data RestaurantBookings.online collects and how it's used. Short version: we collect as little as possible.
What we collect
When you browse. Like nearly every website, our hosting setup logs basic technical data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and when. This is standard server logging used for security and to keep the site running. We don't use it to identify you personally.
When you participate in discussions. If you post a comment or join a discussion thread, whatever you write is visible to other visitors. Your display name is shown with your post. Don't post personal information you wouldn't want public — phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, or reservation confirmation codes.
Cookies. The site may use basic cookies for things like remembering your preferences or keeping the site functional. We don't run cross-site advertising trackers.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. There isn't much to sell.
- We don't build advertising profiles on visitors.
- We don't ask for your credit card or banking details. This site doesn't process bookings or payments — if any page ever asks for payment details, something is wrong.
Third parties
Our guides mention booking platforms like OpenTable and Resy by name, but we don't send your data to them. If you click through to a platform's own website (we don't link out, but if you visit one directly), their privacy policy applies there, not ours.
Your rights
If you've posted in our discussions and want a post edited or removed, mention it in the discussion threads and we'll take care of it. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security purposes and then rotated out.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll note it here with the date. What won't change is the principle: collect little, share nothing, and keep your visit private.
